 'We kunnen de zon niet op laten komen, maar wel zorgen dat we wakker zijn als hij opkomt.' Zo is de liefde van de Hemelse Vader onvoorwaardelijk aanwezig. Hoe kunnen wij de stilte en de afzondering, de rust en ruimte vinden om ons open te stellen voor die liefde?

Sharon Garlough Brown is auteur van de vierdelige bestseller Reisgenoten (Sensible Shoes) en de driedelige serie Shades of Light (wordt november 2025 verwacht in het Nederlands). Ze is geestelijk begeleider en leidt verscheidene retraites. Op haar website (www.abidingway.life) biedt ze onder andere een dagelijkse lectio divina. Sharon hoopt op 17 januari 2026 opnieuw naar Nederland te komen om een retraite-dag voor vrouwen te leiden. Op een hele praktische en inspirerende wijze biedt ze handreikingen die ons kunnen helpen een beter beeld van God's liefde te krijgen en daarin meer te rusten.
